Granite cross cutting the Pegmatite
Presence of Pegmatite vein
There are 4 pegmatite vein which can further divide into 3 types
Angle: 217˚; Thickness: 2.6m [ Type of Pegmatite: Normal ]
Angle: 215˚; Thickness: 5.5 cm [ Type of Pegmatite :Shifted ]
Angle: 221˚; Thickness: 7.0 cm [ Type of Pegmatite : With tourmaline at the margin ]
Angle: 213˚; Thickness: 15.0 cm [ Type of Pegmatite : Banded ]
Presence of Xenolith
Cognate Xenolith: Segregation of mafic minerals come together to form cog due to magnetic susceptibility. Cognate is iron based, So the surrounded area will be in the brown colour.
Accidental Xenolith: A pre-existing rock that accidentally fall into magma. Then it melts and the remaining crystallization happen together with the magma.
Presence of exfoliation
Can observed sharp boundary between Granite and Pegmatite
